Every raider says they can soak. The difference is whether they can drain ammo without donating the tribe's best line to the first bad angle.
Use this as a raid-planning guide, not a promise that any dino survives every wall.
What soaking is doing
The goal is to trade dino durability, saddle armor and rider control for defender ammo and position. A good soak creates a push window; a bad soak just feeds lines.
Choose the soaker by target
Stegos, turtles, Trikes, Paracers and cluster-specific picks solve different angles. Match the dino to turret settings, rider exposure, terrain and whether defenders are online.
- Stego: reliable all-around pressure.
- Carbonemys: slow heavy tank role.
- Trike: angle and rider safety utility.
- Paracer: platform approach where rules allow it.
Saddles, beds and rotation
A good line with a weak saddle is a donation. Rotate before panic, heal between pushes and keep beds, backup flak, brews and replacement cryos staged.
Check the raid kit before the wall
Pair this with the saddle armor guide and compare soaker lines only after the target angle is known.
